Dallas’ housing market ranks 9th “among the nation’s top residential markets, based on an estimate of total values in 50 U.S. metro areas,” according to Dallas News. Not only is Dallas in the top 10, but also holds the spot for top residential real estate market in Texas, with Houston, Austin, and San Antonio following behind. All 4 cities rank within the top 50 US cities.
Camden Homes is preparing a community in Anna, TX and is in the horizontal construction phase of development, contributing to the city’s well-known growth. The area is also attractive to businesses and families for its proximity to the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex; right off the north end of US-75, Anna is a 45-minute drive to Downtown Dallas and the DFW International Airport. Additionally, McKinney, a populous North Texas suburb, is just south of the City of Anna.

In September of 2019, Risland US Holdings began its North Texas development project: Mantua, a community in Anna. The development has plans to house 6,000 residential units, with “2,000 acres for single-family residential homes, 675 acres for commercial space,” and “275 acres of parks, lakes and creeks” according to The Dallas Business Journal. The mix of residential and commercial real estate, in addition to the reserved space for social activities, will help make Anna what investors are expecting the city to become.
Anna’s Economic Development Corporation claims Collin County has been an attractive location for businesses to relocate to, considering the influx of out-of-state businesses to Texas due to affordable housing and tax incentives. Nate Pike, Anna’s Mayor, confirms that the city’s strategic plan prioritizes economic development. Anna’s low cost of living has also been a huge attraction—between 2018 and 2019, permits issued for single-family homes increased by almost 100 percent.
